Metung is situated on the Gippsland Lakes, which is Australia's largest inland waterway, a haven for boating and fishing. Access to 90 Mile Beach is 20 minutes away. There is a number of quality golf courses in the area, with the Kings Cove Golf Course only 5 minutes drive from Metung. See farms, orchards and wineries, where you can meet the growers and sample local produce. Bring your bike and hit the East Gippsland Rail Trail, a series of tracks following the old railway line between Bairnsdale and Nowa Nowa. Take a cruise on the Gippsland Lakes and take in the natural beauty of the region.
